RA Minister of Economy receives the first Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of the United Arabic Emirates

On December 25, 2009 the RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan received the UAE first Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of the UAE Tarek Al Heidan.

After welcoming the guests Nerses Yeritsyan expressed hope that the recent mutual visits will impact positively on the relations between Armenia and UAE, which are expected to reach a new practical level in a future.

During the meeting N. Yeritsyan referred to ongoing and upcoming strategic and infrastructural projects, such as: knowledge based economy, road and railroad construction, energy sector, ICT, waste management and other.

Mr. Tarek Al Heidan thanked Mr. Yeritsyan for the reception and assured that that the UAE is ready to cooperate in the fields of mutual interest. He highlighted especially the energy sector, agriculture, food safety, tourism, air transfers and other fields.

The sides agreed to design and implement one or two joint projects as a starting point for the successful development and extension of multilateral cooperation between Armenia and UAE.
