      <description><![CDATA[On August 13 the President of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Bako Sahakyan received the RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan and the Deputy Minister of Economy Vahe Danielyan.

The NKR Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Spartak Tevosyan and Minister of Economic development Karen Yesayan were also present at the meeting. Trade and economic related agenda was discussed during the meeting.

      <description><![CDATA[On June 11, Nerses Yeritsyan, RA Minister of Economy met with Bader Salim Al Ulaman, &ldquo;Mubadala&rdquo; business development manager and Mansur Muhammad Al Molanm, &ldquo;Mubadala&rdquo; chief manager of program funding. 

&ldquo;Mubadala&rdquo; is a world recognized Arabic investment company, which belongs to the government of Abu Dhabi Emirates, United Arab Emirates.

      <title>RoA Deputy Minister of Economy received newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia</title>
      <description><![CDATA[On May 12, Ara Petrosyan, RoA Deputy Minister of Economy received Stephane De Loecker, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia. Varos Simonyan, head of EU and international economic affairs department and Pegor Papazian, CEO of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia were also present at the meeting. 

Deputy Minister of Economy congratulated the Ambassador with the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished him fruitful work. 

Thanking the Deputy Minister for reception, Mr. De Loecker assured that he would have an input and contribution in development of Armenian-Belgian ties.

      <title>RoA Minister of Economy to participate in Ninth Knowledge Economy Forum (KEF IX)</title>

      <title>Possibilities of cooperation within the framework of Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) were discussed with the Norwegian Customs officials</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Norwegian GSP is a system that enables Norway to grant preferential tariff treatment (zero duties or reduced duty rates) to products from countries in transition when exported into Norway. 

The Norwegian Directorate of Customs and Excise has in co-operation with the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) planned a number of visits to various countries in transition to encourage the implementation and use of the Norwegian GSP-system.       <description><![CDATA[On April 24, Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan visited &ldquo;Golden Grape Armas&rdquo; LLC located in Kosh region (Aragatsotn marz).The company is planning to organize production of cognac and wine in Armenia, based on raw material cultivated in company owned gardens.

      <title>New Perspectives for Armenian-Belgian cooperation</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Armenian-Belgian Business forum was organized on April 22 in Namur (Belgium) and 
ArmenWal project was presented to the businessmen during the forum. ArmenWal is implemented by joint efforts of Armenian Development Agency (ADA), Wallonia export and investment agency (AWEX) and Armenian&ndash;Belgian chamber of commerce. 

During the event the possibilities for further cooperation and opportunities for joint business projects were discussed.

      <title>A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Armenia’s national indicative program for the period of 2011-2013</title>
      <description><![CDATA[On April 6, Nerses Yeritsyan, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia and Stefan Fulle, the EU Commissionaire for Expansion and Neighborhood Policy Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the national indicative program for the period of 2011-2013. 

157million euro worth of overall financial assistance will be made available to Armenia for cooperation purposes under this European Commission-approved indicative program. 
Around 32 million euro will be directed to the public administration comprehensive development program, and 7 million euro &ndash; to compliance policy.
