29 June, 2020

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the UK Government’s Department for International Trade and the British Embassy in Yerevan for the support provided in the preparation of the “State of Intellectual Property Protection and Enforcement in Armenia” report.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia recognizes the importance of the issues raised in the report and the recommendations for their solutions. The coordinated implementation of the measures proposed in the report is feasible and will ensure great progress in the development of the intellectual property (IP) field. Reforms of intellectual property rights (IPR) system will enhance the competitiveness of the Republic of Armenia in the global economy.

Systematic and institutional protection of IPR will raise the competitiveness of the country, further increasing investments into Armenia and thus, contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.

Issues raised in the report and the necessary measures for their solution could be included in the strategy for the development of the IP field in Armenia.
