Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) Program

The Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) is one of the major high-level initiatives of the Organization of American States and serves as one of the leading international platforms for economic development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The program is held twice a year, one edition in the United States and another in a different country. To date, outside the United States it has been hosted in Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Israel, Chile, and Ecuador. Countries usually apply to host the program 1–2 years before the event, while the preparation process lasts at least 8 months. The duration of the program is usually 6 days.

The program usually brings together up to 70 high-level representatives, including ministers, deputy ministers, chief executive officers of major companies, heads of chambers of commerce, entrepreneurs, and representatives of academia. Since 2014, around 50 global and regional leaders have been selected from among hundreds of applicants for each of the twice-yearly editions of the program, giving them the opportunity to establish and expand business ties, advance their countries’ economic initiatives, and strengthen cooperation among businesses, public institutions, and academic and educational establishments.

From 28 September to 4 October 2024, the Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) was held in Yerevan. Around 50 high-level government officials, policymakers, and representatives of the business and academic communities participated in the event.

Hosting the program in Armenia contributed to the expansion of international economic cooperation. In particular, it contributed to:

the establishment of new business connections and the creation of opportunities for investment and trade cooperation with the countries of the Americas,
the exchange of best practices in the field of economic development and the promotion of entrepreneurship,
the encouragement of capital investment and international partnerships,
the development of cooperation among industry, public institutions, and educational establishments,
the creation of opportunities to increase trade volumes.
Armenia is a beneficiary country of the program and participates in its various events. In particular:

in May 2024, Armenian representatives participated in the ACE program held in Detroit, Michigan, USA,
from 27 April to 2 May 2025, the Armenian delegation participated in the ACE program held in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Armenia’s participation in the ACE program provides an opportunity to present the country’s economic and investment potential, promote international cooperation in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, and further develop economic and trade relations with the countries of the Americas.
