Arman Khojoyan had a number of meetings with business circles of the Russian Federation

In order to strengthen and expand the bilateral business relations between Armenia and Russia, the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan, within the framework of his working visit to the Russian Federation, had a number of meetings with representatives of the Armenian and Russian business circles, including representatives of the Russian Export Center (REC) and X5 Retail Group, a food retail company, headed by the Executive Director.

In particular, with X5 Retail Group, which includes three major commercial networks, the possibilities of expanding Armenian food exports to the Russian market and increasing the presence of Armenian products in that company were discussed.

The partners of X5 Retail Group were briefly introduced to the priorities and main goals of Armenia’s agricultural-industrial complex, the means of assistance provided to business entities in Armenia and the RA state assistance programs.

During the meeting Arman Khojoyan also stressed the necessity of provision of high level logistics services in Armenia, emphasizing that development of logistics centers in Armenia is the guarantee of a stable and predictable supply.

Arman Khojoyan discussed the prospects of collaboration with the representatives of the Russian Export Center, as well as a number of issues related to efficient organization of exports.

At the end of the meeting, the Enterprise Armenia Foundation and the Russian Export Center, attributing importance to strengthening the business ties and developing cooperation between the two institutions, signed a Memorandum of understanding.

Within the framework of the visit, the Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan and the representatives of the Enterprise Armenia Foundation, under the lead of the General Director Levon Ohanesyan, also visited the Embassy of Armenia in Russia, where with representatives of business circles and individual entrepreneurs they discussed a number of issues related to deepening the Armenian-Russian business relations. A separate reference was made to the programs by the RA Government aimed at improving the business environment in Armenia.

The mentioned meetings are the continuation of the joint works initiated in Armenia and the agreements reached.
